![]() ![]() In the V, the deep green helped give my eyes some dimensionality. I also tried applying Moss Definitely in my crease first with my finger and then with a brush. Then I used my fingertip to pat Clearwater over my entire lid. ![]() This time, I applied Urban Decay Anti-aging Primer Potion on my lid and crease. ![]() Today, playing with Clearwater, I felt like I was channeling my inner beatnik. I would put on black tights, one of my father’s white shirts, put my long hair in a pony tail, and apply my mother’s turquoise eyeshadow. When I was a kid in the early 60s, my favorite (and most affordable) Halloween costume was a beatnik. If I were going into stores, I would return Silver Screen, but I don’t feel like going through the trouble and expense of mailing it back. Frankly, it is more of a topper than a true shadow. It has an oily feeling in the pot, and it goes on almost completely sheer. This one was billed as Bright Silver, so it sounded promising. I have a number of excellent silver powder shadows, but I always wanted a silver cream shadow. On the other hand, Silver Screen was a disappointment, as you can see in the swatch above. The gold flecks are very subtle, and I didn’t even notice them at first. The opaque forest green color is rich and beautiful. It goes on easily and is completely opaque. They can be applied either with a finger or a brush. Moss Definitely: deep emerald green sparkle (to me, forest green with slight golden flecks).Clearwater: robin’s egg blue matte (it looks like sea foam green to me). They really appealed to me, so I ended up ordering three: Some of the new shades that MAC introduced seemed different, a switch from neutrals. Over the years, I bought a couple of other shades that I use every now and then especially Layin’ Low that MAC describes as “creamy beige” that I would describe as warm golden squash blossom. Sometimes, I use Painterly as a base underneath powder shadows, and other times, I use it as a cream shadow on its own. I use the MAC Paint Pot in the shade Painterly (pink beige that MAC calls nude beige) fairly often to cover my red eyelids discolored from blepharitis. At the time I placed my order, Ulta was sold out of most of the new shades, but today when I checked, most were back in stock. They are sold at MAC stores, on the MAC website and on. Recently, I noticed that MAC introduced several new shades of their iconic Pro Longwear Paint Pot Eyeshadow, cream or base shadows, that come in the cute little glass black-lidded jars. ![]() How about you? Do you ever put on makeup these days? I know I am finally getting bored being at home because I have been playing with makeup more often even though I have nowhere to go. ![]()
